How much should the brightness & contrast be set in a CRT monitor to avoid any hazards to eyes & body ? thanx?

The CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) is the same as in the older style TV's. It is the biggest energy user of all in the PC system. Always try to get a flat panel monitor when shopping for PC's. You can also get a decent price on a monitor at Best Buy, Staples, etc. Go to Control Panel,Display, or look in your owner's manual To see how to adjust the brightness of the display. (You didn't give any info on your system so that's about all I can tell you). Good Luck! p.s. No hazards to worry about. If you have horizontal and vertical sweep controls, don't mess with them unless you know what you're doing. Adj brightness and contrast settings to suit you.
