Why has it become popular on this board for Cons and Libs to choose sides on a war that happened 150 years ago?

Yeah I see what you mean. Its brought up I can't help but answer it. At the same time I don't see how its relvant to now. Maybe it has somehting to do with an African American in the White House, or its the age old arguement that States should have the right to govern themselves without federal opposition.
